At the end of the semester, Brightspace does allow you to adjust student’s final grades.
Instructions
- Click My Grades on the Navbar and select Grades from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the Enter Grades tab.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Final Calculated Grade and select Enter Grades from the dropdown menu.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Final Grades and select Transfer All from the dropdown menu.
- Click Yes to confirm the transfer.
- Use the Final Adjusted Grade column to make adjustments. Note: if no adjustments are made, then the value transferred from the Final Calculated Grades column will be used.
- Click Save and Close when finished. Note: If Final Calculated Grades have already been released then Final Adjusted Grades will be immediately visible to students instead once you click Save and Close.
Release Final Adjusted Grades to Students
Final Adjusted Grades can be released to students once they are all entered. Instructors should first ensure that the settings are configured to release Final Adjusted Grades rather than Final Calculated Grades.
Configure Grade Settings
- Click My Grades on the Navbar and select Grades from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Click Calculation Options.
- In the Final Grade Released section, ensure Adjusted Final Grade is selected.
- Click Save.
- Click Yes to confirm the settings.
- Click Close.
Release Final Adjusted Grades
- Click the dropdown arrow next to either the Final Calculated Grade or Final Adjusted Grade column and select Enter Grades from the dropdown menu.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Final Grades and select Release All from the dropdown menu.
- Click Yes to confirm the action.
- Click Save and Close when finished.
