Instructors can customize their course homepage within Brightspace by adding, deleting, or changing the location of widgets. This can be done by copying and editing the homepage.

Copy a Homepage
Users may have trouble modifying a course homepage if they are using a Default Course Homepage. To modify a course homepage, make an editable copy through the following steps:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the box with three dots in the bottom right. Select Manage Homepages from the popup menu.
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to the name of the current homepage. Select Copy from the popup menu.
- Find the Active Homepage dropdown menu above the list of homepages. Click on the drop-down arrow and select the homepage copy created in Step 2.
Edit a Homepage
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the box with three dots in the bottom right. Select Manage Homepages from the popup menu.
- Find the copied homepage or homepage you would like to modify in this list and click on the homepage to edit.
- The following can be customized for each copied course page:
- The course homepage name. Type in the field to make changes.
- The course homepage description. Type in the field to make changes.
- The course homepage header. Type in the field to make changes.
- The layout of the course homepage. Click the Change Layout button to select an alternate layout.
- The arrangement of widgets on the course homepage. Click and drag widgets to change their placement.
- Once finished, click the Save and Close button at the bottom left of the page.
