Assignments, discussions, and grade items can have multiple rubrics attached. However, only one can be used as the grading rubric, which will be tied to the grade in the gradebook.
When creating or editing the assignment, discussion, or grade item, you can specify a default rubric to be used as the grading rubric. You also have the option to change/choose which rubric will be used as the grading rubric when completing the evaluation. It can be changed at any time until grades are published. Students will see the feedback provided in all attached rubrics.
Select Default Rubric
Within an assignment or discussion, click the Evaluation & Feedback drop-down arrow. Click ‘Add Rubric’ to add desired rubrics, then select the default rubric in the Default Scoring Rubric drop-down. Click ‘Save and Close.’
Evaluate with Multiple Rubrics
When evaluating an assignment, discussion, or grade item, be sure the correct rubric is selected in the ‘Grading Rubric’ drop-down. Click the arrow next to the rubric to open and start the evaluation. Once the evaluation is complete, click ‘Publish.’ Students can view scores and feedback from all rubrics, but the gradebook will reflect the score from the grading rubric.
