Activity Preview can be utilized to submit responses to a quiz as if the instructor were a student. Although Brightspace cannot impersonate a student, this feature allows instructors to practice submitting and grading quizzes. This is only available for quizzes; to submit and practice grading an assignment, refer to instructions on how to Submit an Assignment as a Learner.
To utilize Activity Preview and submit a quiz:
- Navigate to Quizzes on the Navbar, select the quiz for which you plan to submit.
- Select the down arrow next to the quiz you would like to take and click Preview.
- You will be prompted to take the quiz and see the following notification: ensure the box “Bypass Restrictions” checked.
- Submit the quiz and check off “Allow this preview attempt to be graded in the Grade Quiz area” to grade the rest of the quiz.
To view and grade the quiz preview submissions:
- Select the down arrow next to the quiz you would like to grade and click Grade.
- Filter for submissions under preview mode.
- Navigate to the attempt and grade the quiz.
